Cover art for a Catholic inspired action-packed novel written by a good friend of mine, Thomas Tan. As faithful Catholics, both he and I share a belief of the power of pop culture and the need to evangelize it and through it. That desire was borne out of our love for all things geeky (movies, animation, video games, comics, etc) as well as our love for our Holy Mother Church and her teachings.

When he shared with me the premise and idea behind this book he'd been working on I was instantly sold and agreed to help him with the cover to his book. The story goes that the Church in the near future is under siege from a world hostile to religion and in particular the Catholic Church. Three priests, a Jesuit, Dominican and Franciscan, find themselves on the frontlines of war between the Church and demonic powers led by a secretive and powerful organization called the Lumen Corporation. The priests on the cover are depicted in full battle gear ready to take on the forces of darkness; Michael, the Jesuit and ex-mercenary, Gabriel, a Japanese Dominican priest and martial artist with a Christian samurai heritage and Raphael, a Franciscan doctor and priest. The book is entirely fictional but it is a treasure trove for Catholic beliefs, tradition and culture.
