Hi guys! This is a new set of 12 artworks I did for the new Star Wars Essential Reader's Companion. Although the dateline for this book was a lot tighter it nevertheless was an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

As with the last book I will be posting them in the order of sequence as it appears in the Reader's Companion. Enjoy!

This scene is from the book Allegiance. Mara Jade is the Emperor's Hand here and is being questioned by Darth Vader about a group of rogue stormtroopers. Jade pretends that they are with her and calls them the Hand of Judgement, her own personal stormtrooper guard.

I remember this scene, but I never really got such a clear picture of it in my head before now! Great job, especially all the little details, the wounding to Mara's leg and to the troopers arm, I never really considered how banged up they all would have been after that fire fight. Very cool!

I love your art work, however, characters such as Mara Jade, I can't picture her in the Star Wars universe. Maybe, I'm just too influenced by Ralph McQuarrie.
