This is one of ten pieces I did for the new Star Wars Essential Guide to Warfare. I had a blast working on it and I'm excited that I am able to contribute to the Star Wars universe.

I will be posting them in the order of sequence as it appears in the book. Hope you guys enjoy them!

An aerial panoramic view of the famous Battle of Grassy Plains in Ep 1. It was very tedious to paint hordes of Gungans and Battle Droids plus I had to make sense of the troop formations but it all turned out well in the end.

Great work in persisting with the troop formations. I can imagine it would be pain-staking doing it in CG (as in, each unit has to be just slightly out of sync, can't just 'copy-and-paste'), how much more painful it would be to do it in a painting, even if it's only one frame. Very epic atmosphere here.
