This is one of ten pieces I did for the new Star Wars Essential Guide to Warfare. I had a blast working on it and I'm excited that I am able to contribute to the Star Wars universe.

I will be posting them in the order of sequence as it appears in the book. Hope you guys enjoy them!

The first one is a battle between the Lusankya of the New Republic Forces under the command of Wedge Antilles and the Reaper, commanded by Gilad Pellaeon of the Imperial Remnant. The two SSDs hammer each other while the wreckage of the fleet carrier Endurance goes down in flames.

Straight naval battle of titans!
That's a lot of firepower!
I get the idea that the Star Destroyer in the background is too big. It's tower is larger than the tower of the Super Star Destroyers.

Other than that, this looks great.

Hey, I have the same book. But this is an amazing painting with two Super Star Destroyers exchanging broadsides.

If they ever do another Star Wars Animated Series (the Clone Wars was good but was kind of done to death), THIS post-endor period in the SW timeline  would be an awesome place to start :D

Don't think itll be too good. I can see ass-rape of the canon already D:

Well the numerous Graphic Novel Series set in this period haven't ruined the Canon thus far (compared to Star Wars III which created a continuity error with Star Wars VI), in particular the 'Star Wars Legacy' Graphic Novel series (well worth a perusal)

Imperials are kicked back to ass end of the galaxy and fracture after Endor. One woman kills all the warlords, fucks up in a major campaign, resigns and transfers control of the Empire to an old man with decades of experience of naval combat and administration. Old man reunifies the Empire to some semblance of stability, even if it's a hell of a lot smaller than before. He tries to retake a planet which was a formal capital for the Empire when it lost Coruscant. The New Republic sends a fleet to retake the world. So you see this.
